DIY of the day

I really love these DIY projects, they make me excited and usually, I can't wait to make them.

This one is really nice and funny, and easy to create. You can even involve your kids in the activity, they will absolutely love it.

So if you have some empty walls, which are crying out for some colorful artworks, you should try to do it. I'm sure that everybody's going to admire it and ask "where did you buy it?"



So let's check the materials that we need: 5 potatoes, acrylic paints in rainbow colors, black, white, and fluorescents, paper cups, brushes, plastic plates for mixing paints, ruler, pencil, large pieces of paper (however big you want your artwork).



Step 1: Use your ruler and pencil place little marks where you are going to stamp your potato.

Step 2: Mix the paint. To get the greatest variety of colors mix your paint yourself in paper cups.

Step 3: Cut one or two of the potatoes in half and cut out a 3/4″ circle with a knife. You’ll want some more potato stamps so you can print with more colors at the same time.

Step 4: Print with one color at a time, place the paint on the plate so you can stamp the potato in it. Then start stamping randomly throughout the print. Continue with all the colors until it's all filled out.

Blogger's single room

The following room is owned and designed by a young talented blogger from Portugal, Pedro Rodrigues. As we can see the main elements like the shelf system, bed, the Malm Byrå,etc. are from Ikea, but the accessories he chose are fantastic and very unique. I love how he combined the blue and the yellow green with black and white surfaces. The room is very masculine and full of personality!

The pastel house

Pure pastel colors, great furnitures, beautiful and personalized accessories. These are the ingredients of this gorgeous apartment from the German interior design magazine, Wohn Idee .
The place is very summery, very fresh and soo cozy, that it makes me want to jump into the photos.
Every accessory and furniture has got it's own personality. These shots gave me a lot of inspiration for my further interior design projects.

Metropolis by Lasa Idea

Metropolis is a minimalist bathroom furniture collection by the Italian Lasa Idea company, established at the beginning of the 1970’s.
The collection has a large variety of bathroom furnitures which are available in 40 standard matt or gloss lacquered colours as well as all the RAL lacquer shades. There is also a choice of 20 different wood finishes.

Modern oasis in the desert

How would it feel to have a holiday residence in the Nevada desert? Well, Fabrizio Rondolino journalist, novelist definitely knows it. He gave a real challenge to Peter Strzebniok and the architectural design company, Nottoscale S. Francisco when he chose this unusual location for his residence.

"The architects of Nottoscale have raised the building on a concrete base that emerges from the ground and opened windows on the sides to offer more views, such as the mountain ranges that can be seen from the kitchen’s window. The simplicity of this concept is extraordinarily suited for the desert environment. You have three bedrooms, two bathrooms, an office, two service areas, as well as a large open area – kitchen, dining room, living room – and a terrace."

The interior design is stunning as well. The white base combined with red and black create a very fresh effect. The big windows are also fantastic, just try to imagine how it could be to wake up in a modern, comfortable environment and the first thing that you can see is the wild, endless desert. Not bad, huh?

"The house has been positioned in a way that allows them to exploit the local winds to ensure a comfortable temperature without being necessary to add an air conditioning system. As a precaution the windows facing south are shaded by the trellis and all rooms have windows facing north, in order to avoid heat buildup."

Nendo collection by Nendo for Bisazza Bagno

Nendo is the creation of the Japanese design studio, Nendo for the Italian Bisazza Bagno. The collection is very sophisticated and minimalist, designed to look like it could all fit in—and was just unpacked from—the "crate-like" wooden bathtub. [Dezeen]
Nendo is defined by clean, minimalist lines. The used material is the larch wood, which is known for its warm, golden color. It's the perfect natural material to bring the simple elegance of this collection expresses.
